AGAGU, DAIRO SUFFER ANOTHER LEGAL DEFEAT AT AKURE COURT

Akure High Court yesterday rejected an application by the embattled leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State seeking to dismiss a suit filed against it by a faction, which suspended it last month.

The Omotayo Dairo-led executive had prayed the court to dismiss a suit filed against it by the Ambassador Olu Agbi-led Interim Executive, which was put in place by opposing party members on the ground that the faction has no locus standi to dissolve a properly constituted executive.

The presiding judge, Justice Olasehinde Kumuyi, who delivered the ruling declined and also threw out the application of the Dairo group seeking to stop the suit at the interlocutory stage. An ex parte order restraining Dairo’s State Working Committee (SWC) from functioning in that capacity, which also restrained it from administering the fund of the party pending the hearing of the motion on notice, had earlier been granted by the court.

Counsel to the Dairo group, Adekola Olawoye, had filed a preliminary objection against the order of the court restraining them from functioning in that capacity and prayed the court to strike out or dismiss the suit challenging their continued stay in office.

In his argument, Olawoye said that the plaintiffs have no locus standi to institute the suit and the court has no jurisdiction to entertain the suit and thereby recommended that the case be struck out.
Olawoye who further argued that the court did not have the jurisdiction to entertain the plaintiffs suit because they did not have locus standi to institute the case in the first place, said the suit was not properly constituted and therefore not competent.

The plaintiffs are neither members of the State Executive of the PDP nor authorised by the said party and its National Working Committee, (NWC) and National Executive Committee, (NEC) to institute this action for and on its behalf, he argued.

He said the suit as presently constituted disclosed no reasonable or cause of action against the defendants and the choice of the members of the PDP SEC, when and how they are elected, chosen or administered is the internal affair of the party, which is not subject to the jurisdiction of the court.

But counsels to the plaintiffs led by Mr. Stephen Olemija and Deacon Oluwafemi Balogun posited that the partys constitution applied by the counsel to the defendant is no more in existence as there is a new amended constitution of the party dated 2010 as against that of the year 2006 used by Olawoye.

In his ruling, Justice Kumuyi, who adjourned the hearing of the substantive case to June 23, 2011, affirmed jurisdiction on the suit, rejected the arguments of the Dairo-led executive and aligned with the position of the Interim Management Committee of the party.

MKO ABIOLA LAST SPEECH-NAKED EYE-GOKE OLUWOLE

                                              Bashorun MKO ABIOLA

                                      For the reckord
                            ‘Enough is enough’-MKO Abiola

Text of the proclamation speech by the late M.K.O. Abiola on Saturday, June 11, 1994, announcing the formation of a Government of National Unity (GNU) at Epetedo, Lagos.
PEOPLE of Nigeria, exactly one year ago, you turned out in your millions to vote for me, Chief M.K.O. Abiola, as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

But politicians in uniform, who call themselves soldiers but are more devious than any civilian would want to be, deprived you of your God-given right to be ruled by the President you had yourselves elected.

These soldier-politicians introduced into our body politic, a concept hitherto unknown to our political lexicography, something strangely called the “annulment” of an election perceived by all to have been the fairest, cleanest and most peaceful ever held in our nation.

Since that abominable act of naked political armed robbery occurred, I have been constantly urged by people of goodwill, both in Nigeria and abroad, to put the matter back into the people’s hands and get them to actualise the mandate they gave me at the polls.

But mindful of the need to ensure that peace continues to reign in our fragile federation, I have so far tried to pursue sweet reason and negotiation. My hope has always been to arouse whatever remnants of patriotism are left in the hearts of these thieves of your mandate, and to persuade them that they should not allow their personal desire to rule to usher our beloved country into an era of political instability and economic ruin.

All I have sought to do, in seeking dialogue with them, has been to try and get them to realise that only real democracy can move our nation forward towards progress, and earn her the respect she deserves from the international community.

However, although this peaceful approach has exposed me to severe censure by some who have mistaken it for weakness on my part, those with whom I have sought to dialogue have remained like stones, neither stirred to show loyalty to the collective decision of the people of their own country, nor to observe Allah’s injunction that they should exhibit justice and fair-play in all their dealings with their fellow men. Appeals to their honour as officers and gentlemen of the gallant Nigerian Armed Forces, have fallen on deaf ears.

Instead, they have resorted to the tactics of divide and rule, bribery and political perfidy, misinformation and (vile) propaganda. They arrest everyone who disagrees with them. Even the 71-year old hero of our nation, Chief Anthony Enahoro, was not spared. How much longer can we tolerate all this? .

People of Nigeria, you are all witnesses that I have tried to climb the highest mountain, cross the deepest river and walk the longest mile, in order to get these men to obey the will of our people. There is no humiliation I have not endured, no snare that has not been put in my path, no “set-up” that has not been designed for me in my endeavour to use the path of peace to enforce the mandate that you bestowed on me one year ago. It has been a long night. But the dawn is here. Today, people of Nigeria, I join you all in saying, “Enough is Enough!”

We have endured 24 years of military rule in our 34 years of independence. Military rule has led to our nation fighting a civil war with itself. Military rule has destabilised our nation today as not before in its history. Military rule has impoverished our people and introduced a dreadful trade in drugs which has made our country’s name an anathema in many parts of the world. Even soccer fans going to watch the Green Eagles display in America are being made to suffer there needlessly because Nigeria’s name is linked with credit card and fraud and “419.”

Politically, military rule has torn to shreds the prestige due to our country because of its size and population. The permanent seat at the United Nations Security Council that should be rightfully ours, is all but lost. For who will vote for Nigeria to get the seat if Nigerian military rulers do not respect the votes of their own people? Enough of military rule.

We are sickened to see people who have shown little or no personal achievement, either in building up private businesses, or making success of any tangible thing, being placed in charge of the management of our nation’s economy, by rulers who are not accountable to anyone.

Enough of square pegs in round holes. We are tired of the military repetitive tendency to experiment with our economy: Today, they say “no controls.” Tomorrow; they say “Full controls”. The day after, they say “Fine tuning”. The next day, they say “Devaluation.” a few days later, they say “Revalue the same naira upwards again Abi?”

All we can see are the consequences of this permanent game of military “about turns;” high inflation , a huge budget deficit and an enormous foreign debt repayment burden, dying industries, high unemployment and a demoralised populace. Our youths, in particular, can see no hope on the horizon, and many can only dream of escaping from our shores to join the brain drain. Is this the Nigeria we want?

We are plagued also by periodic balance of payments crises, which have led to a perennial shortage of essential drugs, that has turned our hospitals and clinics into mortuaries. A scarcity of books and equipment has rendered our schools into desolate deserts of ignorance. Our factories are crying for machinery, spare parts and raw materials. But each day that passes, instead of these economic diseases being cured, they are rather strengthened as an irrational allocation of foreign exchange based on favouritism and corruption becomes the order of the day. Enough is enough of economic mismanagement!
People of Nigeria, during the election campaign last year, I presented you with a programme entitled “HOPE ’93″. This programme was aimed precisely at solving these economic (problems) that have demoralized us all. I toured every part of Nigeria to present this programme to you the electorate. I was questioned on it at public rallies and press conferences and I had the privilege of incorporating into it much of the feedback that I obtained from the people.

Because you knew I would not only listen to you but deliver superb results from the programme, you voted for me in your millions and gave me an overwhelming majority over my opponent. To be precise, you gave me 58.4 per cent of the popular vote and a majority in 20 out of 30 states plus the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Not only that, you also enabled me to fulfil the constitutional requirement that the winner should obtain one-third of the votes in two-thirds of the states. I am sure that when you cast an eye on the moribund state of Nigeria today, you ask yourselves: “What have we done to deserve this, when we have a president-elect who can lead a government that can change things for the better?

Our patience has come to an end. As of now, from this moment, a new Government of National Unity is in power throughout the length and breath of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, led by me, Bashorun M.K.O. Abiola, as President and Commander-in-Chief. The National Assembly is hereby reconvened. All dismissed governors are reinstated. The State Assemblies are reconstituted, as are all local government councils. I urge them to adopt a bi-partisan approach to all the issues that come before them. At the national level, a bi-partisan approach will be our guiding principle.

I call upon the usurper, General Sani Abacha, to announce his resignation forthwith, together with the rest of his illegal ruling council. We are prepared to enter into negotiations with them to work out the mechanics for a smooth transfer of power. I pledge that if they hand over quietIy, they will be retired with all their entitlements, and their positions will be accorded all the respect due to them.

For our objective is neither recrimination nor witch-hunting, but an enforcement of the will of the Nigerian people, as expressed in free elections conducted by the duly constituted authority of the time.

I hereby invoke the mandate bestowed upon me by my victory in the said election, to call on all members of the Armed Forces and the Police, the Civil and Public Services throughout the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to obey only the Government of National Unity that is headed by me, your only elected President. My Government of National Unity is the only legitimate, constituted authority in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as of now.”

People of Nigeria, these are challenging times in the history of our continent, Africa, and we in Nigeria must not allow ourselves to be left behind. Our struggle is the same as that waged by the people of South Africa, which has been successfully concluded, with the inauguration of Mr. Nelson Mandela as the first African President of that country. Nelson Mandela fought to replace MINORITY rule with MAJORITY rule.

We in Nigeria are also fighting to replace MINORITY rule, for we are ruled by only a tiny section of our armed forces. Like the South Africans, we want MAJORITY rule today, that is rule only by those chosen by all the people of Nigeria as a whole in free and fair elections. The only difference between South Africa and Nigeria is that those who imposed minority rule on the majority rule whether it is by black or white, remains minority rule, and must be booted out.

I call on you, heroic people of Nigeria, to emulate the actions of your brothers and sisters in South Africa and stand up as one person to throw away the yoke of minority rule for ever. The antics of every minority that oppresses the majority are always the same. They will try to intimidate you with threats of police action. But do not let us fear arrest. In South Africa, so many people were arrested, during the campaign against the Pass Laws, for instance, that the jails could not hold all of them.

Today, apartheid is gone for ever. So, let it be with Nigeria. Let us say goodbye forever to minority rule by the military. They talk of treason. But haven’t they heard of the Rivonia treason trial in South Africa? Did those treason trials halt the march of history?

People of Nigeria, our time is now. You are the repository of power in the land. No one can give you power. It is yours. Take it! From this day, show to the world that anyone who takes the people of Nigeria for fools is deceiving himself and will have the people to answer to.

God bless you all Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Long live the Government of National Unity.

AGUNLOYE UNFOLDS POLITICAL AGENDA AHEAD OF 2013

AGUNLOYE UNFOLDS POLITICAL AGENDA AHEAD OF 2013
…ready to battle mimiko

The Ondo North Senatorial flagbearer for Action Congress of Nigeria [ACN] Dr.Olu Agunloye has put all the electoral misfortune behind him as he stylishly unfolds a new political agenda.

The new political agenda known as the Omoluabi Value is now been promoted by the Erusu-Akoko born politician high-tech through a newspaper advert announcing the webpage http://www.ondo2013.com/.

Since his defeat at the poll Dr Agunloye have reorganized himself ahead of the 2013 which Akoko people are set to champion by the newspaper advert.

Many have also been wandering whether his ill-fated political misadventure from Labour Party [LP] will make him quit politics but this latest move  had only proved that his defeat and humiliation from the LP  has only transformed him to a refined politician.

Through the promotion of the ‘Omoluabi Value’,Dr.Agunloye seems to be fully back in the political arena to challenge his friend Dr Olusegun Mimiko in the 2013 guber race this time for a higher mission which shows his consistence and commitment to liberate the people of Ondo State.

As the new political ideology is fast gaining acceptance among the youths in Ondo North Senatorial district where Agunloye has a very strong political footing is already rubbing on his political image.

Before thing fell apart in between Agunloye, a former minister of the federal republic of Nigeria and LP, he was believed to be the strongest contender for the exalted senatorial position.

Between 1999  to date all attempt by Dr Agunloye to take a shot at the govermorship position had always suffers a very big set back either for him to be persuaded to step down for another kinsmen or  drop his ambition because of  unfavourable political arrangements.

But with the level of commitment shown by Dr Agunloye’s  it seems he is all out to dammed the consequences this time he is  taken on Dr Mimiko the incumbent governor his friend and political co-traveller who was recently persuaded to recontest in for 2013

HOW TINUBU BEAT PDP, EFCC TO INSTALL TANBUWAL AS SPEAKER

How Tinubu Made Mockery of PDP to Install Tambuwal as Speaker
…….Tambuwal,Ihedioha disguised to beat EFCC

A political strategy devised by the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) was what saved rebellious members of the House of Representatives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in last Monday’s election of the Speaker.

Top PDP chieftains had stormed the Lower Chamber on the voting day to force compliance with the zoning formula of the party.
The party had adopted Mrs Mulikat Adeola-Akande from Oyo State for the job to give the position to the South-West.
Sensing that some members may do otherwise, a plan making it mandatory for Reps to write their names and constituencies on their ballot papers was then hatched and adopted for the election which was supposed to be open-secret.

Despite the apprehension, the anti-zoning Reps were encouraged to damn the consequences and vote Aminu Waziri Tambuwal from Sokoto State (North-West).
Before then, the party in conjunction with the Presidency had placed the rebellious Reps under close watch and indeed held several meetings with them to browbeat them to the toe their fine. There was nothing in their countenance and disposition to suggest that they were all out to disobey the party and risk sanctions.
The patty was stunned when Hon. Tambuwal was nominated; contrary to instructions that only Akande-Adeola should be nominated and returned unopposed former BoT Chairman, Chief Tony Anenih immediately left the chambers in anger. The Acting National Chairman, Dr Haliru Bello, was to follow midway into proceedings when it was clear that Tambuwal had won the day.
The ACN, which equally had its leadership cadre in the chambers seized the momentum and directed affairs, remotely.

The ACN had discountenanced the PDP’s zoning of the slot to its South-West stronghold as it felt it could re-awaken the party in the zone again.
An old political warhorse within the ACN, immediately came up with a strategy to beat the PDP apparatchik and restore confidence in the restive PDP lawmakers-elect.
Daily Sun learnt that as soon as Tambuwal won the election by 252 votes to Adeola-Akande’s 90, the politician immediately passed many killer messages to Tambuwal.

He was said to have passed a note to the new Speaker, to immediately use his powers to retrieve all the ballot papers from the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kabir Maikasuwa.
Consequently, the Clerk immediately handed the cards, in an envelope to Tambuwal for ‘safekeeping’ away from the prying eyes of the PDP leadership.

The ACN leader who craved anonymity said this was necessary to conceal the identity of the Reps and save them from an impending sledge hammer of the PDP.
According to him, it was totally unacceptable to prevent members of the House from appointing who to lead them.

Specifically, he said the party deluded itself into believing that it could coerce the lawmakers into doing what was against their conscience.
As early as 9.35 am, Tambuwal and Ihedioha who belonged to the same camp and had resolved to challenge the parties zoning formula disguised in dresses they are never known with apparently to avoid being arrested in connection with the N10 billion loan scam for which former Speaker, Dimeji Bankole is currently being held by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). While Tambuwal who is known for his flowing baban riga was dressed in a pair of suit and a bowler cap to fit, Ihedioha noted for his Ibo traditional attire with his green cap chose to dress in a white agbada and mallam-like cap.
Indications that Tambuwal and Ihedioha would come out victorious emerged as soon as the duo sauntered into the chambers in their new outlook. Almost every member on the floor went to pay homage to Tambuwal as the shouts of ‘sai Tambuwal’ rent the air.
When the clerk began the roll call of members at 11.30 am and it came to the turn of Tambuwal and Ihedioha, the whole chambers went into frenzy. Although, Adeola-Akande’s supporters also attempted a similar solidarity, it was not as resounding as the standing ovation received by her fellow competitor. At exactly 12.02 pm, the clerk of the House Sani Omolori called for nomination for the position of Speaker and Deputy Speaker. Hon. Emmanuel Jime (PDP, Benue) quickly stepped out and nominated Tambuwal. The nomination was seconded by Hon. Nnena Ukeje (PDP, Abia) while Hon. Bethel Amadi (PDP, Imo) nominated Adeola-Akande and seconded by Saidu Namadi (PDP, Jigawa).

The voting, which was conducted with the supervision of the Clerk of the National Assembly (CNA), Alhaji Salisu Kasuwa and his deputy lasted for almost four hours. The exercise ended at 3.49 pm while counting of votes commenced at 3.52 pm.

The Sunshine VOICE gathered that one member abstained and eight votes were declared invalid. After the result was announced by the clerk of the House, the new Speaker was immediately sworn in. His landslide victory forestalled further election for the position of Deputy Speaker as Hon. Dogara Yakubu and Ishaku Bawa who were also gunning for the position of Deputy Speaker withdrew thereby clearing the coast for the emergence of Ihedioha without a contest.
In his acceptance speech, Tambuwal said the House was the house of the people and they had spoken through the election of the two of them. He said the focus of his administration would be to strengthen the rule of law and collaborate with the executive to provide qualitative leadership to Nigerians.
He thanked the President for starting very well and enjoined all the lawmakers to give him the support to steer the ship of leadership smoothly, saying he cannot do it alone.
Incidentally, Tambuwal was Deputy Chief Whip while Ihedioha was Chief Whip respectively in the 6th House of Representatives

WE FORMED NEW NAIJA AGENDA TO LIBERATE NIGERIANS-BADMUS

We formed  NEW NAIJA AGENDA to liberate  Nigerians –Badmus

Recently you and some of your compatriots started a political campaign that evolved into a political organization .What informed this decision?

The large scale of political ineptitude, political recklessness and lack of corporate governance among our political class informed the decision to start the mass movement known today as the New Naija Agenda[NNA].It is a known fact that most political parties today have failed the people likewise the political appointees, after the era of late Papa  Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Tafawa Balewa,  Azikiwe and lots more, there has not been any party with a clear cut political ideology, all the parties  like my father,Uncle Bola Ige once described them as the same finger of  a leprosy  hand, so there can not be any meaningful development from these politicians. Some of the elected party officers and public office holders do not even have political ideology nor understand what we call genuine democracy. So it is based on these that we formed a study group which was the nucleus of our mission about three years ago when we realized that most of our democratic structures have been proliferated by money-bags and we professionals in politics can not just watch the nation bleed to death and this led us to start a campaign for a new political order.

Why did you launch it on May 29, 2011 same day a new government was been sworn in ?

Yes, our public launch coincided with the swearing in of President Goodluck Jonathan because we can not wait any longer as we are afraid if we tarry a bit a replica of the event that engulfed the nation at the twilight of the last regime may mean doom for our nation. When lawlessness, violence, maiming and killing, bomb blast were the order of the day.Our youths needed  a very distinct and new political ideology that is our goal with New Naija Agenda where peace, harmony shall reign supreme.

Can you throw more light on the  New Naija Agenda?
Like I earlier said it is not an adhoc thinking or a mere political propaganda machinery like some have. In the past most of us have belonged to different political associations, parties, and groups but the link we have that attracted us to decide to work together is that we are all professionals, successful in our chosen careers, not an organization formed by failed professionals or businessmen. All our coordinators are men of proven integrity, highly respected individuals with genuine commitment to democracy and indivisible entity called Nigeria. We have strong passion for making Nigeria a better place for our children. It is our believe that Nigeria can still be better after our carefull appraisal of all the political office holders and their party we have a very strong believe that not all politicians are bad afterall Governors like Mr Raji Fashola,Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Adams Oshiomole are equally politicians but professionals. So if these people are doing wonders in their respective positions of power why can’t we support others to succeed. Mind you we also noted the strong passion of certain individual politicians who are committed to the total emancipation of their people like the ACN leaders Senator Bola Tinubu,Chief Bisi Akande, and others.

How are you going to achieve your goals since you claimed not to be affiliated to any party?

It is true we are not affliated to any political party but we will at all times work with party with developmental programmes that will liberate the people from shackle of poverty and war. That  we support a party in the West does not mean we will support the same party in the south or in the north. New Naija Agenda is a mas movement that is determined to succeed where other similar groups or associations has failed. Because we have conducted research in Nigeria and abroad  why political organisations failed in their mission to achieving their set objectives and goal.We will also honour politicians who have shown courage and display commitment to the ideal of true democracy like Governor Fashola of Lagos State and Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State both has displayed their loyalty to the electorate. And we shall hold accountable political office holders who misused their mandate to the detriment of the people. That is why our public launch coincided with the swearing- in of the new president as we shall beem our search light on the activities of the executive, the judiciary and the legislators from the local government level to the national level. As at to day we are already mobilising the people on how to monitor the people they elect that is why we have coordinators round the whole federal constituencies and in diaspora. So that we could monitor our politicians even outside the shores of Nigeria.

What are other features that make New Naija Agenda very different?

As I have given you reasons that gave birth to the organization I will as well have given reason to tell you that, the organization as a non party but political platform for social change established to champion the cause of the down trodden masses, the downtrodden citizen  by monitoring government activities, policies and making positive and constructive criticism when necessary. We are equally putting in place mercenary to prosecute some erring politicians and public officeholders as our legal team have just finished compiling list of those to be prosecuted. The list is amazing when you quantify the rate of embezzlement with the rate of political propagandas put in place. This New Naija Agenda [NNA] is established to give Nigerians political liberty. We will not damn whatever it will take us to champion the cause of the down trodden masses, the downtrodden citizen by monitoring government activities, policies and making positive criticism when necessary. Very soon you will see our position paper on the issue of corruption both at state and national level each state have been mandated to do an in-depth analysis of level of political corruption among the political appointees and you will be amazed by the level of corruption in our land. Many of these politicians parading themselves as superstars will soon go to jail because there are many Bankole’s and Alameiysa among our politicians.Nigeria must be rid of corruption

What are the measures put in place by your organization to checkmate proliferation by the so called political class?

Our organization unlike the usual political pressure groups is founded on a new Nigeria agenda, we are the missing link in the politics you see how the ACN and the CPC party were able to mobilize the people during the last election it shows that what the voter really needed is adequate awareness that they should vote for the person before the party and we thank God that that the rate of ballot snatching has reduced to a barest minimum though the last election was highly monetized but we hope that the next election we will get it more right. And I earlier said that our organisation is an amalgamation or a coalition of professionals with proven integrity we are men of courage, vision and knowledge. While I will not rule out proliferation but before then we would have shown Nigerians how to think, we would have mentally re-orientate a higher fraction of the society and this would rub off on the larger population during the next poll. Many of us have been in many parties and we have found out that it is only political reorientation that can save the nation. And we are starting our awareness campaign round the six geopolitical zones soon.

Who is Chief Raheem 'Fola Badmus?

I always described myself simply as detribalized Nigerian, a committed democrat, with an unrepentant passion for indivisible Nigerian. Am a member of the ACN in Akure South Local government, by Gods grace the Sasere of Isikanland Akure, a very successful Telecom and Security equipment merchant, I run a very enterprising tourism company that owns the popular Ages Hotel, Akure and am known to be a socialite and a great philanthropist. I was one of the PDP leaders that decamped when I realized that all my views to call for genuine reconcilliations betwen all the aggrieved members of the party is not respected and today the event within that party in Ondo State and Nigeria by extension has vindicated me

Femi Adekanmbi donate buses to ACN OSE,OWO
...after Hon Bola Ilori,Jimoh Ibrahim's Donation

The House of Representatives flagbearer for Owo/ Ose Nigeria (ACN) in the just concluded general election in the country, Hon Femi Adekanmbi at the weekend in Owo presented two buses to the party in Owo and Ose LGS Area respectively.at a  brief ceremony held at the party’s secretariat in Owo.
Adekanmbi during hand over ceremony which was attended by the party executives at the LG level explained that the gesture was to further assist the party in its quest to conquer the state in 2013 and beyond by increasing ACN acceptability across the state and to improve the status of the party saying “this presentation of buses to the two Local governments should be seen as part of measure to strengthen the growth of the party.”
‘We all know that as the acceptability of ACN in the South – West is growing  therefore it must not be  down  played in Ondo State’.

Adekanmbi popularly referred to by his teeming followers as ‘Enerebe’ remains the most popular political figure in the ACN fold in Owo and Ose constituencies.

This makes Mr. Femi Adekanmbi the second ACN the second ACN chieftain to donate vehicle to the party. It will be recalled that Hon. Bola Ilori donated four busses to the party during the general elections. Ilori gave out a bus each to the three senatorial candidates and a bus to the Ribadu Presidential Campaign Team. Bola Ilori who was the Ondo State Coordinator of the Ribadu-Adeola Campaign Organisation provided five branded busses for the campaign weeks ahead of the presidential elections.

Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim of the PDP still leads the pack of those who have donated busses to their political party with 18 buses, followed by Hon. Bola Ilori and now Mr. Femi  Adekanbi.

MIMIKO MOST 'PIOUS' godSON- DR OSUNYINKANI

UNVEILING
DR OLAKUNLE  OSUNYINKANMI:
Mimiko most PIUS godson

Barely a year on the saddle as the substantive Commissioner for Education,Dr Pius Olakunle Osunyinkanmi name reverberated across the political landscape as the ministerial nominee of the Labour Party[LP] by the governor of Ondo State,Dr Olusegun Mimiko to represent the interest of  Ondo State at Aso Rock.
He was picked by the governor based on their long term relations as a tested and trusted ally.

OLAIYA ONI,MIMIKO FALL APART OVER MINISTERIAL LIST

Political Tsunami Hits Ondo LP
Olaiya oni,LP Chairman  finally resigns
…Osemawe,Mimiko loyalist panics

Just as the crisis generated by the ministerial list within the Ondo State  Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] is dying down the list has also wrecked havoc in Labour Party[LP] which made the party Chairman, Dr Olaiya Oni to resign his position.
Impeccable source within the party told Sunshine Voice that the ministerial list crisis last week took it’s toll on LP as there was an unresolved disagreement between the party,Chairman,Dr Oni and governor of Ondo State,Dr Olusegun Mimiko.
The source who said he saw the copy of the resignation letter told Sunshine Voice that Dr Olaiya Oni  last week sent his resignation letter to the governor, Dr Olusegu Mimiko informing him of his decision to quit the party.
The source said,Dr Olaiya Oni in his  letter stated that he is quitting the party to save his name as he alleged that  Dr Mimiko has hijacked the running of the party from the state executives.
Dr Oni the source revealed became bitter when he learnt that Dr Mimiko  unilaterally sent  the name of one Mrs Remi Duyile, who is a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Matters.
The Ise Akoko born party Chairman was said to have got wind of the ministerial list from a very close confidant of the governor who said that Dr Pius Osunyinkanmi, the incumbent Commissioner for Education was grumbling why his name was substituted by  Mr.Governor with that of one Mrs Remi  Duyile as LP ministerial nominee without recourse to the state excos.
This infuriated Dr Oni who went wild making frantic calls to his Aso Rock contacts to confirm the authenticity  of ministerial list sent by Dr Mimiko.
But he was even more bitter and devastated when he was told that Mrs Duyile was Dr Mimiko’s ministerial nominee for LP Ondo State.
There and then Dr Olaiya Oni immediately drafted and sent his resignation letter to the governor copying the Osemawe of Ondo kingdom,Oba Kiladejo alerting the king of his decision to quit LP because of what he called Dr Mimiko’s overbearing nature on the party.
This sent a lot of jitters down the spines of the paramount ruler of Ondo Kingdom who called on some of Dr Mimiko’s confidants and inner caucus members including the First Lady to start putting  pressure on Dr Oni not to make his decision public until they will resolve the crisis amicably between the two of them. .
Finally, after three days the Osemawe was lucky to convince  the embattled Chairman,Dr Oni to reverse his decision not to quit the party but Dr Oni Sunshine Voice learnt said he would accept not to quit only on the condition that the governor must also accept his new terms of preference.
A six paragraph truce condition was therefore drawn by Dr Oni through  Osemawe to the governor with a warning that any attempt to reject a single line among the conditions he will make public his decision to quit LP.
Further investigation within LP at the time of filing this report revealed that  Dr Oni promised to make his official announcement to the public through the media on Monday.
